I'm posting to this thread because it is one of the more recent and discusses alternatives to HCC members. I'm intrigued by Bourne's Plan C as well as the offer from DHH. However, I feel that there is an infrastructure and properties in place with HCC on which we should capitalize.

I realize these are big "ifs", but if the current HCC management was willing to have frank and open discussions with say Bourne and some others on this forum, isn't there the possibility to create a very interesting and workable club combining some of the existing properties and infrastructure of HCC with Bourne's Plan C? It seems that many members are willing to pay increased dues and/or a modest new deposit (i.e., Bourne's Plan C). Why not use that money to create a better combined plan that capitalizes on what HCC already has? I think this would necessitate some shared equity with the members that contribute and active participation in management, but isn't it worth a try?
