Club: ER, HCC Corporate, DHH Lite, Bud Lite (A few too many) | DHH will unveil new membership plans as of March 1, 2008. The will offer more plans and decrease the yearly dues to $700 per night to $850 per night depending on the plan days. To make up for this, they will decrease the food allowance to $500 per week from $1000 and eliminate the $400 airport transfer allowance. This was in response to member demand who said that they often made their own airport transfers and often didn't utilize the full food allowance. Space available prices will increase from $300 per night to $450 per night to $900 per night, also depending on which plan you are in. They are also introducing a 42 night plan and several more corporate plans. Details will be available on their website, March 1. |

Club: ER, HCC Corporate, DHH Lite, Bud Lite (A few too many) | You can stay in your current plan or change to the new plan. You have to decide whether or not the lower yearly dues or the benefits are more beneficial to you. For example, the yearly dues for the current Lite plan are $7000 per year, space available days are $300 per day. You get $1000 in food credit per week and $400 in airport transfers. The new Lite plan the dues are $5900 for the 7 days, but you no longer have the airport transfer credit and you get only $500 in food per week. The space available days will now cost you $900 per night. (The $900 applies only to the Lite plan- they go down to $450 per day for the 6 week plan) So if you don't take advantage of the food allowance, the airport transfers and the space available days, the new plan is better. Otherwise, the old plan is better, If someone is interested in the low space available price, they need to join before March 1, because after that it will be gone. They will, however, raise that to $320 per day after March 1. |

Club: ER, HCC Corporate, DHH Lite, Bud Lite (A few too many) | I would doubt it, and I have not heard that. Also, the article is incomplete. With the reduction in yearly dues, several significant changes have been made. You now recieve $500 in free food for a week, previously it was $1000 and you no longer get the $400 credit for airport transfers. Members in the past apparently did not always take advantage of the airport transfers or all the food, so the change was made due to member requests. If you consider that, the weekly dues were $7000 - $1000(food allowance) - $400 airport transfers or $5600. The current structure is $5900 - $500(food allowance) or $5400 per week. This goes down as the number of weeks increases. So that is a net savings of $200 + per week of membership. However, the bigger change is in the space available day pricing. In the old plan it is currently $320 per day. The new plans are $450-$900 per day, depending on your level of membership. So under the old plan, if you had a lite membership and used just two space available days, you would save $1800-$640 or $1160 - $200(decrease in net annual dues) or $960 per year. And that number would go higher as you use more space available days. The numbers are slightly different depending on the level of membership and how many space available days are utilized. If you have a diamond plan, I doubt you would use too many space available days, so the savings in annual dues would probably offset the difference in price for space available days ($450 vs $320), so the new plan is probably better. But for the lite plan, if you use space available days, the old plan is better. |

If this is true...they are the only club to offer this and it would be a HUGE selling feature. Also, my personal advice to DHH would be to hire a better web designer as their current web site is pretty lame. Check out Lusso or Exclusive Resorts or even High Country Clubs web site. MOST people will judge a company by how their web site looks and functions and if you are asking for members to pay $50-300k, then your site should be very user friendly. | |

Even with the annual fees decreasing, The Club Guidelines have stayed the same in regards to the maximum length stay at a destination. That is 14 days with 1 AB credit (or more AB credit(s) if it is over a holiday period). Currently it is not possible to book any longer than 14 days at one destination (although we are open to suggestions). I have informed the author at Helium of this and it is to be changed today.
