Clubs that offer luxury residences and championship level golf are becoming more prevalent, especially this side of the Atlantic. The concept is simple: members purchase a home on a fractional or full-ownership basis and get the benefit of world-class golf just outside their door.

THE MARKERS GOLFERS RESIDENCE CLUB
For the golf enthusiast and avid traveler, The Markers Golfers Residence Club features locations throughout America, Ireland, Scotland, Mexico, and France. Members of the 325-person club have access to each of the participating golf clubs and are free to unwind in a luxury residence of their choosing. The Markers offers equity ownership, meaning that when you join the club, you become a partial owner and have access to the club’s luxury properties. Not only will you own a tangible asset, you are automatically qualified to help select the sites of future residences. The phrase, “the world is your oyster,” has never sounded so good.

Up to 56 days per year, members may travel to golf destinations such as Palm Springs, Maui, or St. Andrews, Scotland. Currently, there are eight U.S. locations and two in Mexico, and club directors are committed to 17 new locations, and plans are underway for future sites. The 36 private residences average 3,000 square feet and are located on or next to a golf course. Three membership levels are available, ensuring that families, business partners, and companies will find a level suitable to their needs. Because membership is capped, flexibility is an option, making impromptu getaways a reality.

Each Markers residence has an average of four bedrooms and four bathrooms and is outfitted with luxurious, five-star amenities including high-end appliances and finishes, plasma TVs, hand-selected furnishings, and an SUV for use while in residence.

In addition to its growing portfolio of luxury residences, The Markers offers one-of-a-kind golf experiences such as annual golf excursions, via air or charter cruise, for members to renowned golf destinations, and training and instruction from acclaimed golf professionals courtesy of The Markers Golf Academy. The club maintains a member-to-property ratio of 9:1 and has residences averaging $1.5 million.

A club wouldn’t be a club without amenities, and The Markers offers plenty. As soon as a reservation is made, a team of personal assistants will work with you in planning your getaway, going so far as to stock the fridge and schedule a demo of the latest golf equipment. An around-the-clock concierge is available for dining and entertainment suggestions, spa reservations, or to schedule an airport pickup.
