They have availablity but look at their pricing. For one holiday week you will need to use 14 One Key days. A 15 day membership costs $34,900. So the one week vacation will cost you $34,900 (OK, you'll have one non holiday day left). If you compare that to Lusso, Lusso has theoretically unlimited use for $28,000 per year. If you had joined one year ago at $325,000, you could resign at $375,000 next month or a 15.4% return (so we don't have to get into the cost of capital argument if I were to compare their prices to say Quintess or Exclusive) DHH would cost you only $7000 for a holiday week (Plus minimal cost of capital if you had joined when it was $25,000 per week). You could also probably rent a nice villa for less than $34,900 for a holiday week. I am not sure of the value of One Key.

if onekey can get you a $4K>$5K rental for half that, whats the problem?

onekey is not a destination club, it is in jet terms a "charter card" with "fleet access"

I don' think their pricing is that good. I think with a little work, you can get equivalent homes much cheaper. You can easily get a fantastic villa rental over a holiday for much less than $34,900 for the week.

i plan to stay at tawantan sometime. its $3K/nt for a week.

hotels/villas/etc can run up to ~$50K/nt.

if onekey is getting good with hotel negotiations, that would be another plus in my book.

all i care about is discounts, if they can get one for a place i want to rent, great.

It is definitely a possibility to find homes for less of a cost than going through One Key. The value comes in the work we do behind the scenes to add a home to our portfolio. You can only tell so much through pictures on the internet. Each vacation you take to a different home or a different location it is the same guessing game whether the pictures are a good representation of the home.

Part of the value is availability. I don't want to use a specific destination club but all have issues of availability during holiday and peak travel times. What happens when there are X amount of homes and *** amount of members who want to travel at Christmas? Only 20% (approx) can, and that doesn't even get into the dilemma of who gets to go where. Clubs use various methods to decide who gets to travel during peak times, a lottery, different booking time frames for different levels, some alternate year to year. We offer a different product than a DC. If someone wants to go to away every year at Christmas and that is a trip they know they want to take every year, they are probably going to have trouble doing that in a DC.
