Default Elite Shares

Elite Shares is a new hybrid or debit style club that offers access to Residencies ($2-10M value), Jets (Learjet 40, Learjet 45, Challenger 300, Challenger 604), and Automobiles (Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche and Hummers).

According to their web site:

The Elite Shares Club was designed to provide high net worth individuals and corporate executives with virtually unlimited access to a growing portfolio of destination properties, private jets, yachts, and exotic automobiles. Unlike most luxury fractional programs offering a single amenity, i.e, destination clubs, jet or yacht charter programs, the Elite Shares Club provides an umbrella of luxury amenities by combining the leading fractional memberships presently available offering destination properties, jet charters and exotic cars.

Their homes are located in Palm Beach, Florida, Aspen, Colorado, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Las Vegas, Nevada, South Hampton, New York, Beverly Hills and Rancho Santa Fe, California.

According to Halogen Guides - Elite Shares uses a Bank of America debit card account, where the member can add to the card as needed. The initial cost of becoming an Elite Shares member is $200,000, $188,000 of which is deposited into the debit account. The remaining $12,000 goes directly to Elite Shares for annual dues.

I tried to download their Elite Shares Club membership application, but received a Object not found Error 404 message.

doesnt look like any discounts, perhaps just some properties that are usually not rented on a short term basis. and, if site is accurate, also some fairway villas at wynn las vegas that are not regularly bookable. (the ground floor ones with pools)

I don't see the point, personally... and agree with you Kag, that none of the homes seem to be at any savings to the members. (I would like to see what hourly rates they quote on the jets, but they don't disclose any of that...)

Semantically, isn't this the same as giving a travel agent on a retainer fee? It sounds like the memebership only gives me ACCESS, not use. I'd comfortably assume that I'd have to pay for use on top of the "retainer" fee and annual dues. I wonder who is actually running this operation? 100% refundable...from what source? I smell a rat and would proceed with caution if someone was interested.

you pay $200K for a card. of that $12K is a fee, and the rest you spend on the stuff in their portfolio/fleet. if you want to quit, its refunded.

if there was something like this that got me a discount on a property i wanted, id "join" when i wanted to go to that property. i thought onekey might do that, but it seems i misunderstood and they do not take property requests, so it seems unlikely that theyll happen to have a specific place i want to go to in the future.
