| I am from Seattle and I am looking at DC's. I like the concept of equity and have looked at M Private Residences in Canada. I have spoken with a few M shareholders and M's reputation is really strong. With all the mergers and focus of DC's into Canada they seem to be a logical target for any of the leading clubs. Exclusive or Ultimate seem to fit well with M. Has anyone heard any rumors? |

Club: LUSSO Collection | With M being an equity model, I would seriously doubt it would ever be able to merge with either ER or Ultimate seeing as the two of them were not set up with that concept.

| I have been following this forum for a while and has become increasingly valuable and thoughtful.. and has always remained respectful...thanks to all I live in M's home town and your are right they have a great rep across the country. I have been close to buying M for a while. I know they rejected a proposal from A&K last summer to remain focused on Canada. A UE merger would be nice in order to tack on a bunch of new properties, particularly if continuity is maintained in terms of the Canadain company Could they not convert to non equity? Was'nt Ventures an wquity club? |

Club: High Country Club | Springfield - you must hear more being in the west. They are kind of a secret out here. I took a quick look at their website but didn't draw much in the way of conclusions. As with many it seems they have a lot of properties in the west and not nearly as much in the east. What are you hearing about them in Alberta? |

Club: A&K Residence Club | I've always liked the M Residence model, but never considered them a serious option for U.S. buyers. I'm sure Canadians could say the same about U.S. based DCs, but they seem very Canada-centric as far as properties. Not enough East Coast options, and for whatever reason, even aside from location, the residences often don't appeal to me. A lot of condos, not many free standing homes. |

Can you as moderators add the 'fact' of employee status to the user profile -- it is nice to have normal disclosure ... so to see someone try to 'sneak in' a comment is curious. Greg H

Club: LUSSO Collection | GregGH... this can be done by the administrator, but not by the moderators, just for the record. Agreed, however, on the curious aspect... it is only a matter of time before we (the moderators) discover little tidbits like this!

We ALLOW any Destination Club employee to have an account and become an active poster, but have two simple rules: 1. Disclose your club affiliation 2. Don't post constant sales pitches for your club I think Quintess Michael is probably the most active DC employee here and I appreciate his insight and wealth of knowledge.

| This thread seems the basis of rumours for M ... possible takeovers, etc., make potential members run away IMO. Even the closet guy from M suggested the company was being entertained. Sometime last year, investigating DC's became a bit of a hobby ... I found out about them here and being Canadian wanted to check M out ... placed 2 emails and 1 phone call - no return emails or calls. Made me feel they were a small player and not worthy of consideration, Canadian or not. |
