Club: ER, HCC Corporate, DHH Lite, Bud Lite (A few too many) | Abaco appears to be a popular destination for DC's. The following DC's have at least one residence at the Abaco Club: 1. ER (7 homes) 2. UE (6 homes) 3. Lusso (2 owned, one leased to expire soon) 4. Oyster Circle (1 home) Ritz Carlton is apparently building a Residence Club at Abaco. If you have any information on the progress of construction, please post it here. |

Club: LUSSO Collection | For any that were unaware of this... the fractional units are supposed to be built on the common beach (near the UE homes that overlook the protected beach area, which will be the most affected during the construction phase). As a reference, I have marked "Busters on the Beach" in pink on the master plan that is attached below. (This plan was dated April 6, 2007, so I don't know whether or not changes have been made...)

Club: UE Signature, HCC, Freedom Yacht Club | When we were there a year ago, we were told that the new beach pool, restaurant, market, etc., and the first phase of residences were scheduled to be completed by Spring 2009, but I have no idea if they are anywhere near that schedule currently, especially since the new Abaco airport was scheduled to be completed by 2004, but hasn't even started yet...

Club: ER, HCC Corporate, DHH Lite, Bud Lite (A few too many) | From someone who was there a month ago, construction has begun. They have 55 deposits for fractions. There will be 20 Villas and 8 "homes" according to the plan. Some visitors love the place. I personally think that it needs more to do and more choice for dining. With the new development, there are plans for expansion of Busters and looks like there are two new pool areas, one which appears quite large. I don't know if those in the other homes will be allowed to use them. But the one restaurant there is overpriced and mediocre. Dining choices, even 40 minutes away in town are very limited. Just too quite for me for any more than a few days unless you bring a whole crew and cook yourself, which we don't like to do too much on vacation. Even the grocery store is very limited. |

Club: LUSSO Collection | Today I received an update from Tom at The Abaco Club regarding construction progress... the photo below shows current construction of a "lower ridge" 2 bedroom villa which are slated to be completed in January. I am not exactly where this is actually located in the grand scheme of things, however. The other photo is a rendering of the new golf clubhouse that is apparently in the planning phase. It looks like there have been and are to be many improvements at the Club... the refurbishment of the one bedroom Ritz-Carlton Club (RCC) Cabanas will be completed by November 15. Two other improvements that I received information of with that email: Armando Gaurdiola a 15 year Ritz-Carlton exemplary employee has joined The Abaco Club as Director of Operations. Armando will be overseeing food and beverage, spa, equestrian, beach and activities. And, Zipporah Smith who has 18 years experience in hospitality with a competitor has joined us as Director of Member and Guest Services. Hopefully, things are looking up at the Abaco Club!

Club: LUSSO Collection | Anyone flown any of the "puddle jumpers" from FLL to MHH? (Yellow Air Taxi or Vintage... seems Island Express has already gone away, or at least their phone service has apparently been disconnected!) Thanks to AA removing several flights, we can no longer get to Abaco in one day... making it necessary to investigate other alternatives such as these...

Club: UE Signature | looks like AA is flying once per day only now...I am afraid we may have similar issues for Nevis and other Carribean locations but I am afraid to look. I wish I could afford a fractional jet deal. |

Club: LUSSO Collection | You and me, both! We have done a couple of charters in the past, but the thought of purchasing a fractional -- shelling out over $450k then paying $10k (or more) per month is a bit unnerving! ![]()

Club: LUSSO Collection | That is my next thought, but from what I found, they only fly on certain days... and they are not our preferred days!

Club: LUSSO Collection | LUSSO doesn't, yet, and that wouldn't really help me right now, as I am only needing a flight from FLL to MHH, and certainly don't need a luxury charter to do that! (and, Quintess Michael, we both know you already knew the answer to your own question...! )

Club: Ultimate Escapes | We are at Abaco now in case anyone has any questions about the construction. There is quite a lot going on. We flew Continental from West Palm Beach to Marsh Harbour and it was just fine. It's a small prop plane with about 12 seats and it was a quick trip and even on time. |

Club: UE Signature | the danger of posting when you state the home and timing is we become no longer anonymous (and thus I have not posted reviews yet but hope there will be a vehicle to segregate username and reviews). Nevertheless I would be interested in your review of the property you are in as well as the other signature and elite homes. How much is there to do there as I have read somewhere that someone could get bored after a few days? Is it worth bringing kids there? |
