Default Top 25 Real Estate Markets

Interesting and surprising stats here on the top 25 hottest RE markets in USA. Can't quite see a DC location in many of them.

2. Honolulu, HI
4. Maui, HI
6. Manhattan, NY
7. Sun Valley, ID
9. Kauai, HI
21. Seattle, WA

These 6 would be reasonable DC locations...

This is an interesting web site, but it really applies to "primary" home buyers and markets where there is strong price appreciation.

The title of the chart is slightly misleading, as the markets may have been depresed for many years and people are starting to move there as the pprices of the homes may be a bargain compared to other areas.

Hawaii and Manhattan seem to defy any real estate price correction as the demand is so strong. The other areas just seem to have lagged the overall market and people are moving there as this may be the only arey they can afford.

I am surprised that North Carolina or Tennessee is not represented as those areas are growing from Floridians leaving the state.
