Club: Distinctive Holiday Homes | Hello, Perhaps the information is somewhere on this board, but it would be great to have a spreadsheet that updated member count for each of the clubs by month. This way, members in each respective club, can have a sense of when to expect future properties to come on line. Plus, people considering different clubs can gain a sense of how much "traction" each of the potential clubs are having any given period of time. I would think it would be a easy spreadsheet to maintain, as each of the club representatives should want to provide that information to promote their clubs. I'm also sure that they have the data back to inception of each of their clubs - so people can get a full picture of the member subscription rate. Having it in a spreadsheet form will also alow people the ability to perform analysis on the data as well - it would be very easy to deduce trends in membership. Let me know your thoughts. Regards,

Club: LUSSO Collection | While I like your idea, Friend of Sandman, getting updated numbers from every club each month may be more difficult than one would think. We will leave that to the administrator, in the event he is able to obtain that accurate information.

Club: DC4MS.com | I LOVE this idea...but getting this information from every club on a monthly basis will be a huge challenge. Perhaps on a quarterly basis or just every Jan 1 and July 1 basis, etc. |

Club: Distinctive Holiday Homes | True, in thinking about it, quarterly member count may actually be best as I am sure you can have aberrations occurring in different monthly numbers. In addition, this will tie to the club's internal quarterly reporting. If there is support for this - would you be able to reach out to the DC reps registered with this board first? Regards,

Club: Ultimate Escapes | This would be great info to have if they will share it. Even if you ask and get some data initially, pressure would probably build for others to share so as not to appear to be hiding something. |

Club: Ultimate Escapes Elite | I think publication of this information should be required to be a member of the DCA. Any more word about that organization? Last edited by DCTraveler; 07-19-2008 at 11:39 PM. Reason: spelling |

The DCA has been pretty quiet lately, but usually meet twice per year. I have offered to post any and all DCA information here for free, but they have not accepted this offer. They indicated that they want to have their own website, but I have not seen anything lately. | |

Club: Distinctive Holiday Homes | With the financial meltdown in the financial markets, it would have been great if we could see the membership numbers for the trailing three months. This way we could compare against the future three to six months to see if this sector is resilient to worldwide liquidity issues. I would suspect that it may be more correlated than anyone really imagined. Today, with BofA buying Merrill, private offer to buy AIG for $3/share by JC Flowers and others, Lehman going bankrupt, and AIG asking the Fed for a backstop - all tell me that individuals are going to want much more transparency in the future, as well as needing to rely on their personal liquidity much more than the past. I would love to hear if any club representatives have a view on this or can tell us what they have been recently encountering with their membership drive.
