Club: DC4MS.com | Halogen Guides has updated their extremely popular "Cost-Per-Night" analysis of 15 leading Destination Clubs and it is always fun to see the updated figures. Cost-Per-Night at Destination Clubs Rises | Halogen Guides - Luxury 2.0 Guides and Reviews There have been many online discussions about the methodology of calculating the true cost-per-night of various Destination Clubs and most people think their analysis is the "most accurate" as it assumes a member deposit (5% lost opportunity), annual dues, and a 10 year membership span. Range = $248 (High Country Club Affiliate) to $2,867 (Solstice Sky plan) per night Average = $1,114 per night in 2008 vs $918 in 2006 ------------------------- In case Alec Rosekrans (the author) reads this, here are a few suggestions: 1. Include a "Median" price in future analysis along with the Average price (the mean) as the Median price is a better statistic because it is affected less by the outliers like HCC and Solstice. 2. Enlarge the graphic chart of the "Cost Per Night of the Leading Destination Clubs" as nobody can read it and the chart does not enlarge when you click on it. 3. Include a hypertext link to your e-mail address so people can e-mail you. |
