I was always curious about this organization. It is nice to know and somewhat reassuring that DC's that are members of the DCA have assets to cover 2/3 of the deposits back to members, at least that is how I read it.

I agree that ALL Destination Clubs should become members of the DCA. It would be nice to see the DCA have their own web site and independent office.

I would also like to see the DCA post a few messages on this forum.

Why are only some DC's involved in the DCA? What is the cost in joining the DCA?

The interview with the DCA President on Halogen Guide should answer some of your questions, Jack... specifically to answer your question on why not all clubs are members:

Wegner explains that smaller clubs often opt not to join because of time and the requirement to have financial statements independently audited. “The third party audit has become a stumbling block,” said Wegner. Small clubs, he said often don’t have the resources to invest in an audit. Additionally, membership in the DCA runs $20,000.
