Club: LUSSO Collection | This is how you tell if you have ticked off an Engineer! (I wish I had done this, as it is priceless! I only wonder how long it took the bank to figure it out! )

Club: LUSSO Collection | OK, I'm embarassed, if anyone actually checked the formula... it is wrong! Just got this from an engineer friend:What’s even funnier is that the explanation given below isn’t correct on two accounts. The actual check amount is a ridiculously small amount. The formula on the check is 0.002 + exp(i*pi) + Sum(1/2^n). The term in the exp() is not 2*pi. Exp(i*pi) is Euler’s formula, and the result is –1. Since Sum(1/2^n) converges to 1, the actual formula is 0.002 –1 + 1 = 0.002. Finally, pi is not spelled “pie”. So, if anyone else caught this, give yourself a hand! ![]()
