Club: HCC | Anybody ever use one of these services? Sounds like a pretty nifty idea but it is also pricey. I could see where traveling with the whole family it could be advantageous though. Ted |

Club: LUSSO Collection | Thanks! Now, I can agree with you! ![]() I wonder if they have a better track-record with not losing luggage? (...although, I am sure that never happens on Ted! )Holy moly!!! Just checked a sample quote... I could easily get an extra airline ticket for what it would cost to get 3 medium suitcases shipped 4 days out! Maybe I will just invite along a friend to carry my bags, instead! ![]()

| i dont understand why they call it a club.. id rather go with the more established companies. garde robe and one other company also actually store luggage, rather than just shipping it. |

Club: ER, HCC Corporate, DHH Lite, Bud Lite (A few too many) | There are several other companies which do the same thing. It is quite expensive. I have not used it but was on a flight with a family that did and they said they used it all the time, avoiding the hassles of taking luggage with them. The luggage is there waiting for them when the get to their destination and home a couple of days after they get back. I guess if you can pack early and don't need everything when you get back and have alot of extra money lying around, it is a good thing. |

Club: HCC | Yep, I really don't like United/Ted as a customer. I've had nothing but problems with them every time I fly them and keep going back for more...dunno why? There are many better airlines out there. Contrary to what many travelers think, airlines typically do not lose luggage it is the airport/security handling systems that teh airlines neither own or control that create problems - typically at the largest airports. If there is any chance your tag will fall off you are toast. |

Club: High Country Club | WOW!! I just did a sample quote for our ski trip to Breck in two weeks and even "economy" is more than our lift tickets for the entire trip!!TravelWife (a.k.a. Wife #1) packs contrary to the normal uber-traveler mode. She packs to the limits of what the airlines will let us take, both in terms of number of suitcases and weight (the reduction from 70 pds to 50 pds per suitcase was a shock to our way of traveling life)! I've actually seen her pack everything she needs, weight the bags, and then find more stuff to put into the bags until they weight 49.5 pounds. We even travel with a portable luggage scale to repack when we come home. To restrain this packing madness somewhat, and assure another thirty years of travel bliss with my travel assistant, I have two simple rules for packing: 1) All luggage must be fully packed at least by midnight of the night before we fly. 2) All luggage must be transported by us through the airports (no skycaps or sherpas). TravelWife never makes the rule #1 deadline but rule #2 insures that we only take what we can roll. Transporting your own luggage also helps to burn some calories on those days when we're in sedentary airplane mode. And after all, I'd rather give my $600 to Wolfgang Puck instead of a bell hop. ![]() |

Club: LUSSO Collection | ...would love to see a video of TravelWife's reaction to your comments! Somehow, I am betting you don't confront her with these thoughts... at least if you know what is good for you! (Yes, women know what to remove from husband's suitcases to make their vacations miserable... )
