Well, I can say that when I initially found out about TTT - I was very interested given the fact that between myself a few other couples we have multiple vacation properties and we would have found this to be an excellent opportunity. We don't even have green carpet in our units.

However, I wouldn't consider using their service given the posts on this forum by the owner. Any opportunity that existed has been completely undermined by the content of the posts by TTT.

Even if a prospective member had the remotest inclination to try out TTT, they would surely be put off by the professionalism exuded by you on this forum.

From a marketing standpoint, you are digging yourself deeper in a hole everyday.

I'll second this thought. I think the concept of TTT is interesting, but the owner's annoying, often irrelevant self-promotion, and lack of professionalism (not to mention the inability to actually answer questions or stay on topic) has definitely put TTT on my personal "don't ever do business with" list.

And while TTT may think this thread is popular because she is putting up such a good argument of why TTT is better than a DC, the only reason I must shamefully admit to following it is because is like watching a train wreck.

Hi, All, after checking out this website, reading this thread and others I've pointed out to her, my mother has decided that TTT's value is greater than ever and this is the perfect time for her to sell her 30% and go play, play, play.

If anyone would like to bid on it, you can email me at Leah@tradetotravel.com

Don't you get it...

Vaniene Hardy, your mom, built a good company from scratch against all odds. However, now that you have taken over the reins, the future of the company is suspect. Your posts on this thread are proof enough.

Your mom wants to cash in her 30% before you do any further damage.

I took over the reins of TTT 6 years ago and I'm the one who INVENTED the company as it currently exists. 6 years ago, Trade to Travel was not a luxury exchange. I'm the one who made that leap and I'm the one who wrote every word that's on our website (our website was ONE paragraph when I took over).

I'm the reason that the London Times did an article on TTT in March of 2006 and I'm the reason that the NY Times recommended our services on June 15, 2008.

If I do say so myself, I've done a darned good job of inventing and running one of the world's most unique/unprecented companies and I couldn't agree with my mom more that this is the perfect time for her to sell her stock and travel to phenomenal TTT properties worldwide for the rest of her life (may she live to be 150 years old).

This is interesting and I think you should post this as a separate thread in the Public Lounge.

Good luck on your mothers retirement and I assume that she has built up enough credits in TTT for some interesting travel.

Hi, DC4MS, I appreciate your offer for me to start a separate thread to let people know that mom is interested in selling her 30%, but now that I've thought about it, I'll just keep it in this thread so that people can read my posts throughout this thread in order to determine whether or not they're interested in bidding.

Also, if anyone would like to buy my 40% in addition to mom's 30% (with the final 30% still tied up in Tanner & Haley bankruptcy proceedings), please let me know your offer and I might sell and go play, play, play myself.

It is fine to keep it in this thread if you want to.

Some basic questions that you should be prepared to answer are:

1. Asking price for 100%, 70%, 40%, and 30% shares
2. Gross income and net income for past 12, 24, 36 months
3. Transition and training process
4. Any seller financing available
5. What are the assets and value of assets

You may or may not feel comfortable discussing them online, but these are three basic questions I would ask.

I am attaching a PDF file to this thread - a document that someone (a mystery person) sent to my via e-mail.

I almost deleted the file as I normally don't open attachments, but was shocked to read the document.

It is a lawsuit filled on August 25, 2006 by Homeexchange.com vs Trade To Travel and Leah Powell.

I am NOT taking sides here and only presenting the document as I received it. I also don't know if this has merit or is a frivolous suite, but it is a serious matter for anyone considering using or buying TTT.

I would be happy to post any updates to this 2 year old document and I am interested in the outcome.

Someone is grasping for straws looking for ways to discredit me and/or TTT. This lawsuit took place 2 years ago when one of our members made the mistake of contacting a very few people on Homeexchange.com to see if they'd like to become members of TTT. We paid Homeexchange.com $5000 to compensate them and that was the end of the matter.

TTT has no debt and is involved in no lawsuits.

A bit of thread crapping here as this thread is cr..

To a true southerner, y'all is singular. The plural version of y'all is "all y'all".
