Club: Ultimate Escapes (formerly Private Escapes) | I am curious...is anyone aware of Destination Club members communicating with each other through private groups on Facebook? Or is that kind of thing just a rumor that e-marketers like to toss around? Just curious. ![]() |

Club: Ultimate Escapes Signature | As far as club-sanctioned chatter, I doubt it. Destination Club members are more likely to have profile pages on LinkedIn than on Facebook. If you're talking about informal chatter between club members, I guess you're seeing some that here. TUG seems to have a lot of HCC members. I believe that ER is the only club with an active user forum within their walls (as opposed to less interactive guest books you find at smaller clubs). At least that's why I think the biggest club in the industry doesn't have a lot of participation on third-party sites (like reviews on Halogen Guides, or even participating here). I have always wondered why the clubs don't do a better job of keeping all of their users connected. I'm not talking about CEO updates on properties and the like, but actual member-to-member online interaction. Club members have a lot in common (since they chose one particular club over the rest) and have similar experiences (since they're visiting the same places and staying in the same properties). DCs are really the textbook case for high-end niche social networking, but it doesn't seem to happen (though I'll confess to never having been behind the curtain at ER to know how they're doing). Club: DC4MS.com | I am friends with Mark Z's older sister (the 23yo billionaire that started facebook), but I never invested in his company I have a facebook account and can tell you nobody my age (mid 40s) is on facebook...it is for people younger than 30.However, there are TONS of people I know (including many DC corporate members) are on Linkedin and I highly recommend this website. |

Club: DC4MS.com | Most people in their 30-50s that use facebook are simply keeping a check on what their kids post online. |
