Did anyone put in for the cancun property lottery? Results should be available today.

I submitted two different weeks into the lottery for Summer 2009. Hopefully one will match.

Hooray --- I got matched for a week in June!

I am very excited and am really looking forward to this trip.

Hopefully I can get reasonable airfare rates.

Was there a notice that was put out to members? I did not get it. Not that I wanted to go there next year anyway.

Yeah, I received an email:

This property will be available for use on October 11th, 2008.

Prior to the general release of this property on-line, we will do a lottery for your requested reservations. Reply with your desired dates for this location (within the standard rules). If we have requests for the same dates, we will draw to confirm who will stay at the property for the requested date. Please feel free to note first choice, second choice, etc.

PLEASE NOTE THESE IMPORTANT DATES:
Property will be ready for use: Saturday, October 11th, 2008
Deadline to submit dates for lottery: 2:00 PM (ET), Wednesday, October 1, 2008
Date recipients will be notified: Thursday, October 2, 2008
Date property will be released on-line: 2:00 PM (ET) Friday, October 3, 2008

The reservation calendar for Cancun is updated already with the lottery reservations.

I didn't get it either (again not that I want to go there) but if this is going to be the norm moving forward it would be nice if they would let ALL the members know.

Do you normally get the weekly emails for "last minute reservations"? If not they may not have a good email address for you or your spam filter is filtering them out.

Agree my friend - did not see a lottery - not that we were going to go there.

Just as an FYI, the email that I received with the lottery info was dated September 26th, and the subject line was "Announcing Cancun, Mexico", then in the body of the email it mentioned the lottery dates, etc. Perhaps you could check your inbox and your spam folder specifically for Sept 26th and see if went unnoticed?
