Club: High Country Club | I just read the Halogen article that Tarheel Traveler referenced in another thread. According to the article, Associate & Companion members can now only book holidays at 4 months out. Is this the current policy for new members? "Timing: The highest-level Private plan, with a membership deposit of $80,000, allows members to book holiday trips up to a year in advance. Members with the $60,000 Affiliate plan can arrange a holiday trip six months out, while the two entry-level Associate and Companion plans can only book holidays four months in advance". I know there was some conjecture recently about this plan but was not aware that a change had been made. |

Though the choice of words could have be better. Associate and Companion members can access holiday weeks from Advance reservation period onwards as there are no holiday restrictions. The window opens 120 days out hence the four month comment.

| The write up is a little confusing, but they are referring to 'holiday' bookings. I think all levels can book one non-holiday booking a year ahead. Pres week is a 'holiday week' but the week before and after are not. A while back, Steamboat Bill made suggestions that Companions (and perhaps Associates) shouldn't get even that one-year booking and it wouldn't surprise me if HCC considered that change. |
