Club: High Country Club | I spoke to Heath last week and he said that they are having a meeting next week to discuss things (new properties/reservation changes etc). Hopefully we will all have some new information by the beginning of September! |

Club: High Country Club | After a week in Breck at the Lodge substitute, I am heading over to their office this Friday to meet the crew for the first time. Any burning topics of interest I should explore? |

Though I would like to hear from HCC more often, if for nothing, to hear what is on their mind even if nothing has changed. I think they're waiting for a few things to come to fruition...closing of new Breckenridge Lodge and release of the Steamboat Ranch after renovation. They may also be waiting on a threshold of new members to report as well. Who knows...? And THAT is the point, we don't! HCC, talk to us...we won't bite.

Club: High Country Club | IMHO the member newsletter (or inconsistency of a newsletter) might be HCC's greatest weakness. They had one for July, August and September of last year. Then not another one till January 08 and then May 08. It would be nice to have some sort of consistent communication. |

I spoke to Heath today and they are preparing a newsletter for distribution next week. Here are my "guess" of topics....or should I say "educated guess" 1. HCC membership has cracked the 375 member mark and should break 400 in 2008 2. The final word on a replacement property for Breckenridge 3. A new property announcement that is under contract (possible beach location?) 4. News on the Steamboat property 5. News on future properties (NYC, Miami, Naples, Paris?)

Club: High Country Club | Phila Family- It would be nice to know what the current "equivalent member" number is also. Might be a topic for a new thread, but how are you enjoying Breckenridge in the summer? We are thinking of hitting one of the Colorado properties next June. |

Club: High Country Club | Saluki - been having a great time here even with rain/hail/snow early in the week which made for a great hike up Peak 8 to the T-Bar and snowline. Our family (husband/wife/10&8yr olds) came out with my best friend and his similar crew. The temporary replacement house is outstanding - more than enough space for the 8 of us, only downside is all of the nearby construction and lack of seclusion as the homes are pretty much stacked one next to the other. They are building quite a monster right behind it - check out thebristleconelodge.com for you and 29 of your closest friends!!! Last three days have been picture perfect - temps in high 70s/low 80s, great golf, biked down Vail Pass through Copper (didn't check out unit) into Frisco and on to Breck, river rafted (water is somewhat low this time of year - June will be roaring! - and with overcast skies it was somewhat cold but tolerable). Overall a great place in the summer. We just cruised by "The Lodge" which is listed for $2.1m (wilsonrealestateteam.com) and the place is in quite a state of neglect. Also stopped by golf course unit and met nice member from Newport Beach CA. We are rounding out the week tomorrow night in Denver for a Rockies game - great way to end up if DIA is your way in and out. Any other Qs let me know. |

| I don't think Cancun counts as an east coast DC. It would be last on my list too ... or maybe second last after Bill's hot tub. Quote:

Club: ER, HCC Corporate, DHH Lite, Bud Lite (A few too many) | There were rumors that they would look into Villa la Estancia in Cancun. However, I believe that the Villa la Estancia is actually going to be built on Isle Mujeres and don't know if they started yet. |

Club: High Country Club | No, I dont think it will be Villas la Estancia. They are just beginning construction. This property is supposedly finished already and it is in a high rise building. They were expecting to close this week. I am really rooting for the BVG condo because of the great location. |
