Club: UE Signature, HCC, Freedom Yacht Club | Jumping on the rumor that HCC may have a Paris property open by year-end, which would people prefer; a smaller unit (i.e. 800 sq ft, 1 bedroom) in a fabulous location (6th, 7th, 8th, 1st, or 3rd Ar), a bigger unit (i.e. 1200 sq ft, 2 bdrm) 15 minutes from central Paris in the outer Ar or the suburbs (i.e. Neuilly-sur-Seine, Levallois-Perret), or a much larger unit (i.e. 2000 sq ft., 3 - 4 bedrooms) in one of the outlying towns that are 30 - 50 minutes by public transport (i.e. Maisons Laffitte, Poissy, Villennes, Versailles, Sevres, Le Chesnay)? (I'd have done a poll but I don't know how! ) |

Club: HCC | How about a houseboat on the Siene? I think I would vote for a smaller property in a great location. Transportation is wonderful in Paris but there is nothing like being in the heart of things. |

Club: High Country Club | I think of Paris as a romantic journey for two (especially with the cost of getting there!) and not a family trip. I'd like a central location! |

| Here's the location that would get me going...it's where I always stay when in Paris, and they have nice one-bdrm suites if you have Marriott Rewards status. You can't cook in your room ... but it's Paris, and right on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees. Champs Elysees Paris Hotels & France Accommodations - Marriott |

| intercontinental booked through virtuoso seems like best luxury value, from reports in luxury hotels forum on flyertalk. no idea what HCC can get for ~€550K. |

Club: High Country Club | There was a rumor last summer that HCC would have a Paris property by fall 07. We actually delayed making plans for this summer a couple months waiting...then we decided to just go ahead and book Tuscany. Good thing we did since it still hasn't happened. I would bet with the week dollar they are going to hold off as long as possible. |

| When I was considering joining, I was told last Fall, by HCC, that they were almost ready to announce a Paris location opening ... I guess you're still waiting. On the east coast, other than the too big in a remote location OB house, there's been no expansion even though RE prices are very attractive right now. |

| NYC is cheap compared to some international cities, especially considering exchange rate. maybe HCC will lease? |

Club: High Country Club | They leased the two Tuscany locations due to "exchange rate denial" so why wouldn't the same apply to Paris? |

Club: High Country Club | I would be about 50/50 on smaller, super location versus something a little on the edge and bigger, since I could see traveling with our two adult daughters or another couple about half the time, especially if Paris was the first or last leg of more than one location in France or Europe trip. But just the two of us romantic getaway works too. Guess HCC needs two Paris locations! I'd like to see London get up in the destination queue again soon too. Great hub using discount European airlines for a two country visit, or trains for longer multi-UK location trips (Bath, York, Scotland, ferry or short flight to Ireland). Of course a London HCC location to start with, and taking the Eurostar train to the upcoming HCC Paris location sounds great too! |
