Club: High Country Club - Corporate | Does anyone know how far the new house is by car from the beach? Has anyone been there? If so - what are your thoughts? Thanks |

| I think I saw estimates of some 45 minutes to drive to the beach. This one is quite a ways inland. |

As the crow flies, it looks like it is only a couple of miles away, but you have to go north and then south to get to the beach. I have not been there but have also heard that that drive can take about 45 minutes. Rumor has it that they decided to close the direct road to the beach to avoid crowds in the area. I am sure that route took only five to ten minutes. |

Club: High Country Club, Pinnacle Yachts | There are a few shortcuts that you can take to get to the highway which may cut down your drive to 30 min on a good day. Yes, there is an existing road that is closed down which would make this trip a lot shorter (15 min or less). As I understand, this road goes through a private ranch. The road was closed down due to liability issues of road on private land. The owner wants to open it for the benefit of the community but wants the governement to take care of any liability. They have been going back and forth on this now for years. From what I read, this case is getting traction again this year. Hope something positive comes out of it. |
