La Costa Resort at New Years?

I am scheduled to go to La Costa Resort and Spa through HCC over New Years. I was wondering if anyone has been to that unit and around that time of year.

Any information about the resort, the weather, and the area would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Brian

We go to Carlsbad in Mid Jan for a few weeks the last few years (similar time to yours ) -- well - it is NOT HOT ....not really cold except for that one cold snap that you can get. Say mid 60's and sunny. Chilly at night and sometimes a frost delay for that early morning golf - but not often.

Watch where you get your weather from--the San Diego airport sticks out into the water --so their temp will be several degrees cooler than places inland. A couple of miles can make a difference to temp's.

We like it and it is a LOT warmer that our home in Ontario ( south of Detroit ).

You are just off of a busy street with lots of shopping ( El Camino Real ) and Aviara is just around the corner ( so try the Friday seafood buffet )
