Club: UE Signature, HCC, Freedom Yacht Club | The HCC website shows a floorplan for the beachfront residence, but not for the penthouse residence. Anyone know if the floorplan for the penthouse is the same? |

Club: High Country Club | Both HCC units converted the second bedroom into two bedrooms as apparently the second bedroom is pretty large and there are now two smaller bedrooms in addition to the master bedroom. I personally would go with the 1st floor beachfront unit. Here is the Beachfront unit ![]() Here is the Penthouse unit ![]() |

Club: HCC | Yep, that's it on the right. Awesome unit, we stayed there last year and I would HIGHLY recommend it!! The patio wraps all the way around the front of it along the beach. Can't go wrong there. My sister stayed in the penthouse unit and loved it. The roof-top patio was a big hit with them. |

Club: High Country | I agree with Ted. You can't go wrong with either unit at Playa. We stayed in the Penthouse unit and loved it. The beachfront one is nice because of the great patio and the ability to walk right out to the pool or the sand. I think it's probably the better choice if you have smaller kids and the stairs/elevators would be a hassle for them. On the other hand, the penthouse one gives you a little more privacy. Yes, it takes about 90 seconds more to get to the beach, but you can sit on your balcony without other people being right near you. You also have a rooftop patio that is HUGE -- practically covers the entire roof area of the unit. When we were there, the rooftop furniture was in need of repair (a couple wooden lounge chairs were completely broken). We made HCC aware of this, so hopefully it's been taken care of. If so, it would be a great place to have dinner or have drinks in the evening. The town offers a great selection of restaurants and activities. We look forward to going back. We loved the Xel-Ha nature park and would definitely recommend a visit. You can always do a taxi or arrange a shuttle through HCC, but we just took one of the airconditioned tourist buses that go directly there (and leave from the tourist bus station about two blocks away on 5th Ave.). |
