Default ER New Membership Plans

ER has just announced new membership plans. Haven't had a chance to analyze them yet.

Sorry, I don't want to get into trouble for posting this.

thanks for the post, certainly interesting. so now you have to buy holiday reservations (1 at a time) if you want them, and the refund is 75% instead of 80%.

Well, that's a one-time fee to give you priority access to the holidays.

I'd shake my head, but since ER is pretty much the only destination club with an active waiting list to get in -- the Green Bay Packers of DC-hood so to speak -- they can afford to tighten the screws.

The move down to 75% is definitely interesting, and I can imagine that other clubs at 80% will follow suit.

Hopefully, they will be "public" soon... I don't blame LT for removing the link, as obviously, the information isn't posted on the public site, yet. All good things in time... (or, all things in good time!)

On their new plans, it appears to be a copy of Q's plan structure except that they are now offering non-holiday plans and when you add on the extras for additional non-refundable one time "fees" like holidays and family access. Q includes these things and more. Example is the 40 night plan with 4 advance reservations (7 nights max. sun-sun) = 28 base nights non-holiday ($339,900 refundable at 75%) plus the 1 Peak Holiday ($59,000 fee) plus family use ($19,000 fee) ((not to mention 10% annual dues surcharge for family use) is $417,900 - with identical to their old Elite Plan which is still priced at $459,000 on the web. So ER is dropped their deposit pricing by 10%!!! Dues are now $39,900 for the 40 which is an increase of $5,000 or 12.5%/ with family use $43,890 for 40 nights. BTW - I think this means deposit refund for this plan is really $254,925 or 61% of $417,900. VS. up to 100% or $425,000 refund and $38,500 dues for the comparable Q5 Quintess plan with all the trimings

BTW - asked ER if there was a waitlist.... told no... hmmmm

3088+ (not including 181+ waitlisted)
huh.. they brought in all 181+ people?

i wonder whats up with the ultra plan now. splitting it 3 ways used to be the best deal. but as discussed in the last post, upgrading to ultra resulted in the same type of situation where you didnt get a lot refunded.

Why would you get into trouble posting it? More 'secrecy' in the DC market?

It is only posted on the members web site and they say that they will anounce it soon. Hate to burst their bubble.

LTTravel, can you confirm whether there is a waitlist or not? if not, would it not be reasonable to assume they brought in all 181 people who were on the waitlist a month ago? that would mean 3088 + 181 = 3269+ members

A brochure was just distributed yesterday which states that there is still a waiting list, but new releases are made almost weekly, whjeter they are homes or Once in a Lifetimes, which means new memberships are activated weekly. They may say that they are "processing" the memberships and that may take a couple of months and that may be the time the new releases become available to add the members. I cannot confirm what the waiting list number is right now.
