Luxury Destination Club and Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun Build House for a Local Family

WHAT: As part of the 5th anniversary of the founding of Exclusive Resorts, the world’s leading luxury destination club is partnering with Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun for a members only event to create a life changing moment for a local Phoenix family in need. More than two dozen Exclusive Resorts members from across the country are taking time out of their Scottsdale vacations to help build a new 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 1,200-square foot house for the Jauregui family in the Ironwood neighborhood of Apache Junction.

After tragically losing her home to a fire in 2006, Graciella Jauregui, a single mother of two, was forced to move her family into her sister’s house in Phoenix. With living quarters tight, Graciela’s two children, Richard, who is 12 years old and Katherine, who is 9 years old, share a small bedroom, while Graciella sleeps in the living room.

“My kids and I are very thankful to have this opportunity and we have been waiting for a long time,” said Graciela Jauregui. Graciella currently works for Creighton Elementary School as a substitute teacher and is attending school to obtain her degree in education.

“Our members’ commitment in taking time out of their own personal vacations to enrich the lives of others is not only humbling, but it also reinforces Exclusive Resorts’ dedication to improving the communities in destinations where we have residences,” said Jeff Potter, CEO of Exclusive Resorts.

Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun
Serving metropolitan Phoenix since 1987, Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun is a grassroots Christian housing organization whose mission is to eliminate substandard housing by building affordable housing and community partnerships that promote spiritual values and individual responsibility.
