Question Rhett Trees

Did any of you see that Rhett Trees has left ER, and is now the VP of 1-800-Pack-Rat!!

Rhett started with ER in 2003 as the Regional Director (Membership Sales) for Southern California. For the past year or two he's been the Director of National Sales for the US & Latin America.

What gives?

Yes, sadly, it is true that today is my last day with Exclusive Resorts.

Back in 2003, I left a rewarding job at a Fortune 500 company to pursue a dream with 2 visionary brothers. In retrospect, it is one of the best decisions of my life. For nearly five years I have been a part of the Exclusive Resorts family. During that time, the club has grown from just over 50 members to several thousand, and the number of properties available for members grew from a handful to hundreds. I consider it an honor to have worked with thousands of prospects who took the time to cultivate their dreams and the several hundred members who trusted me with their wellbeing.

Everyone that knows me will tell you that I have lived and breathed Exclusive Resorts for the past 5 years. My passion stems from the fact that I believe this concept is a legitimate game changer. Our industry provides a new lifestyle that was never imagined until a few short years ago. It was a bittersweet decision to leave the company that I helped build with my fellow comrades. Last month, a well backed, early stage company approached me with the offer to lead their sales division. Ultimately, this was an unsolicited opportunity to unbridle my entrepreneurial spirit and, for the second time in my life, shape a nascent industry starting at the cornerstone. To coin an ER phrase, a “Once In A Lifetime” role. I am forever grateful to ER and they will be just fine, if not better, following my departure.

Finally, I would like to say thank you to this forum. You provide an invaluable, “independent" clearinghouse for consumers interested in learning more about the LDC industry from those who know it best, the MEMBERS. With that in mind, keep up the good work and best of luck.

My best,
Rhett Trees

Actually, we would love to hear some stories from you. Perhaps you can tell us (without violating your contract with ER) some of the behind the scene stories, interesting membership requests, celebrity sightings, etc.
