| good for ER members, bad for nonmembers - ER owns all 8 3BR condohotel units. (XX02, XX03, XX08, XX09 on 15th/16th) 1603 is the best condohotel unit (in the building) with a very large terrace. (so if a nonmember wanted to rent, they could only get a 2BR.) top condo residences BTW >2102 (outdoor jacuzzi) 2302 (outdoor jacuzzi, bar) 2203 (outdoor pool, jacuzzi, bar, fountain) 2401 (outdoor pool, jacuzzi, kitchen, bar, fountain) but they require 1 year lease ![]() (you can see ER's units on their public availability search, and you can see floorplans and building layout for st regis on their residential site.) | You can have the same view right next door at Marriott BeachPlace Towers -- same beach, same weather, much less money! ![]() I've seen the ER suites there ... much too modern for my taste, almost W like. btw .. my ER rep told me they now have 50 members just in Toronto and are looking at buying a few (?) suites in one or more of the Toronto condo-hotels going up right now. They have done very well in Canada - better economy and buyer attitude he said. |

| Not exactly .. he recognizes that Canada is about the size of California (CA) but the buying 'attitude' is better in Canada due to economic and real estate problems - and a dollar on par. It wasn't that long ago the Canadian dollar was worth 62 cents US. Canada represents about 5% of their membership at present and they are taking aim on the 10% population comparison while the going is good up here. |
